CIM Diploma in
Hospitality & Tourism Marketing

Capela's specialist course, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), leads to a professional qualification which is recognised worldwide.

Who is it for?

The course is ideally suited for:
Marketing managers working in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries
Tourism business owners who need to market their business effectively
Tourism departments
Marketers aspiring to work in travel and tourism

There is a minimum entry standard for this qualification: a good standard of education, not necessarily a degree but at least 'A' level standard; or 2-3 years marketing, tourism or hospitality relevant experience.

Assessment

Assessment is through a series of project-based assignments which can be submitted any time of the year but final assessment will usually be in either June and December. Capela advocates the assignment route and does not therefore offer exams as an option.

Course Content

Two of the three modules offer a deep insight into tourism-specific areas:
Hospitality and Services Marketing
Tourist Behaviour and Motivations

The other module addresses essential marketing and business skills:
Marketing and Consumer Behaviour

Course duration

The 3 modules studied through our fully supported blended learning programme of tutorials and home study are usually completed in 12-18 months. If, however, you require a little longer to complete all modules successfully, we will usually support your studies for up to a total of 2 years at no further charge.
